Bereco revives the charm of a Victorian Terrace

Hannah and Daniel opted for Sliding Sash Spiral Balance and Flush Casement Windows, all featuring Traditional beading, internal Ovolo mouldings, and an external putty-style finish. Finished in Traffic White, RAL 9016, the windows provided a clean, bright contrast to the existing brickwork. The Sliding Sash windows were designed with a slim 16mm Lambs Tongue vertical glazing bar, while the Casement is adorned with a cottage bar design, chosen to align with the character of the property and the surrounding street.

The couple were particularly fond of the Polished Brass ironmongery, including hook lifts, fitch fasteners and a push & twist vent lock on the Sliding Sash as well as Bulb End handle on the casements. This choice inspired them to choose brass fittings throughout the home, including door furniture, bathroom fixtures and kitchen hardware, creating a unified and elegant feel.

As part of the same project, Bereco also replaced their back door with a Stable Door, combining a Traffic White frame with a Pale Green, RAL 6021, door leaf. The design seamlessly complemented the properties charm, adding a touch of “cottage charm” to the terraced house. Coupled to a Flush Casement flag window, the door and window glazing bars aligned perfectly, creating symmetrical sightlines and a cohesive aesthetic.
