Modernising a 1957 Cambridgeshire Home: Naomi’s Renovation using Bereco Timber Windows & Doors

For a classic touch, Polished Nickel ironmongery was selected across all timber windows and doors. This included Barrington Bulb End Handles for the doors, with matching Bulb End Handles for the Flush Casement windows, and Fitch Fasteners, Hook Lifts and Push & Twist Vent Locks on the Sliding Sash windows.

Bereco’s bespoke approach allows our customers to customise many details of their timber windows and doors, from glass patterns to ironmongery finishes and bar thicknesses. For the bathroom window, Naomi chose a distinctive combination of clear glass on the top sash and obscure glass in a Frosted pattern to the bottom sash, providing level 5 privacy glazing.

The rear single storey extension, designed by Back to Front Exterior Design, includes symmetrical sliding sash windows with vertical glazing bars and a pair of French Doors flanked by Sliding Sash windows coupled directly to each side. The aligned glazing creates cohesive sight lines, with the French Doors also showcasing a raised & fielded panel below. Another standout feature is the Lounge bay window, featuring a triple Sliding Sash window with two large Sliding Sash returns on each side.
